Asaduddin Owaisi mocks PM Modi for embracing UAE crown prince

“… when the prince arrived in the evening, by his gestures, it looked like he was doing yoga with his open arms.If Modi has so much love for a ‘dhadiwala’ from abroad, why does he not show the same love to `dhadiwalas’ in India?” he said.

All India Majlis-eIttehadul Muslimeen leader Asaduddin Owaisi on Friday took a jibe at PM Narendra Modi about his meeting with UAE crown prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al Nahyan, reports TOI.

Owaisi while speaking at a rally in Aligarh (UP) on Wednesday, said, “We respect our guests and the Prince definitely should have been welcomed befittingly. But it looked like Modi had forgotten to do his yoga in the morning. So when the prince arrived in the evening, by his gestures, it looked like he was doing yoga with his open arms.If Modi has so much love for a ‘dhadiwala’ from abroad, why does he not show the same love to `dhadiwalas’ in India?”

The leader from Hyderabad was referring to Modi’s welcoming gestures towards the crown prince. He ensured he didn’t make any direct religious references due to the EC’s new rules on asking for votes in the name of religion.

He also mocked Samajwadi Party leaders Mulayam Singh Yadav and his son Akhilesh Yadav. Calling them ‘drama company’, he said, “The `bade miyan and chote miyan’ are taking people for a ride by saying there is development in Uttar Pradesh.”

He raised questions about the development claims made by the UP CM and said that only the Yadav family has benefitted since they came to power and not the common man.
