Railway Recruitment 2018 in East Central Railways has begun to recruit candidates for the post of Apprentice in Danapur, Dhanbad, Mugulsarai and Samastipur divisions of ECR.

East Central Railways aims to engage 1898 candidates for Apprenticeship Training under the Apprentices Act 1961. Eligible and interested candidates can follow the instructions below and apply before 28th February, 5PM:

Online applications are invited for engagement of Act Apprentices for Apprenticeship Training under Apprentices Act’1961 over East Central Railway.

Step 4 – Complete the application process
Step 5 – Download the confirmation page and take a printout for further reference

Application Fee:
Male candidates from General and OBC category are required to pay an application fee of ₹100 while female candidates along with candidates from SC/ST/PWD are exempted from paying the application fee.

Age Limit:
The applicant must fall in the age-bracket of 15 to 24 years, age relaxation rules apply for Reserved Categories.

Academic Qualification:
1. The applicant must possess Matriculation or Class 10th pass certificate or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks from a recognized education board.
2. The applicant must have passed ITI in relevant trade from NCVT or its equivalent.

Selection Process:
Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of a merit list prepared giving equal weightage to applicant’s Class 10th marks and ITI marks. In case of a tie, the older candidate will be preferred. The shortlisted candidates will be selected after certificate verification and medical examination.
