The Ministry of Home Affairs on Thursday released the names of some eminent personalities who will receive the 2018 Padma Awards on January 26. The awards, which include Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri, are announced annually on the eve of the Republic Day.
The country will celebrate its 69th Republic Day on Friday by showcasing its military prowess, culture and diversity in the presence of leaders of the 10 ASEAN nations who will attend the event as chief guests.
