RSS leader Ravinder Gosai shot dead in Ludhiana

Two unidentified assailants gunned down Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader Ravinder Gosai (58) near his house in Ludhiana at 7.20am on Tuesday morning.

The assailants pumped two bullets in his neck and his back minutes after he came out of his house with his pet dog. Gosai died at the spot while the assailants fled.

Ravinder Gosai was head of Raghunath Nagar Mohan Shakha of RSS Ludhiana and was a Mukhya Shikshak of Shakha, a senior post. On being informed the police reached the spot and initiated an investigation. BJP and RSS leaders huddled at his home after the killing.

Ravinder Gosai was also office bearer of district Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

In a similar incident, unidentified assailants had opened fire on RSS leader Naresh Kumar in February 2016 in Shahidi park of Kidwayi Nagar, however Naresh Kumar had escaped unhurt.
