Tamil Nadu chief minister O Paneerselvam on Thursday said that despite efforts made by the state government no positive results have been possible yet on whether Jallikattu will be conducted on the occasion of the harvest festival of Pongal to be celebrated on Saturday.
The Supreme Court on Thursday rejected a plea urging it to pass judgement on allowing Jallikattu on Pongal this year.
DMK has announced state-wide protests post the apex court judgement.
