Director Mani Ratnam, sources indicate, is ready for his next, and the first person on board for this untitled project is National Award winning cinematographer, Santhosh Sivan.
This will mark the sixth time they are collaborating. after Thalapathi, Roja, Iruvar, Uyire and Raavanan.
It’s worth noting that the four-time National Award-winning cinematographer won two of his awards for Mani Ratnam’s films, Iruvar and Uyire.Sources say the project will be a bilingual with the lead actors yet to be finalised, thereby putting to rest the rumours of Ram Charan playing the lead.
The film is to be produced by Mani Ratnam’s Madras Talkies and will have music by his usual collaborator, AR Rahman.
Santhosh Sivan is presently busy shooting AR Murugadoss’s Spyder starring Mahesh Babu.
