Vijay Sethupathi to play a leader in Seenu’s project

Grapevine has it that Vijay Sethupathi will once again join hands with director Seenu Ramasamy for a film in which he will don the role of a renowned leader from Southern Tamil Nadu.

Said to be titled Maamanithan, the film is to be produced by Yuvan Shankar Raja under his YSR Films banner.

Sources state that the pre-production work is going on at a brisk pace and that the search is on for the female lead. The shooting is expected to commence from August this year.

Vijay Sethupathi had previously collaborated with Seenu Ramasamy in Thenmerku Paruvakaatru, Dharma Durai and the long-pending Idam Porul Yaeval. The actor meanwhile, has a number of films in his kitty including Puriyaadha Pudhir, Karuppan, Vikram Vedha, Aneethi Kathaigal, 96 and Seethakathi.
