PC Sreeram on board for Balki’s next about India’s ‘Mensturation Man’

PC Sreeram

Twinkle Khanna, who’s famously known for making witty statements on Twitter, took to social media to announce her first project under the banner of Mrs Funnybones Movies. The latest we hear is that PC Sreeram is on board for cinematography. He wrote on his microblogging site, “My next project with Balki. Once again Balki ventures into a new territory. May the force be us.” Titled PadMan, the film is inspired by real-life hero A Muruganantham, (better known as India’s Menstruation Man) and directed by R Balki. For those who don’t know Muruganantham, he’s a Coimbatore-based school drop-out, who’s on a mission to provide low-cost sanitary napkins to poor women across rural India.

While, rumours are abuzz that Akshay Kumar will be essaying the role of the protagonist, it looks like Balki has plans to rope in a Tamil actor. However, there’s no clarity on this! We hear, it won’t be a quintessential biography, but partially a fictionalised one.
