Sridevi rejected the offer to do ‘Baahubali’ and the reason will shock you

NEW DELHI: Sridevi was last seen in 2012 hit ‘English Vinglish’ and is staging a comeback in Bollywood this year with thriller ‘Mom’. You could have seen the gorgeous actress on screen in 2015 itself, not having to wait this longer.

As per reports, Sridevi was offered the role of Sivagami Devi in Baahubali franchise. Not Ramya Krishnan but Sridevi was SS Rajamouli’s first choice to play the powerful queen. The Bollywood actor turned down the offer because her demands were not met. Reportedly, she demanded a whopping Rs 6 crore to be on board with the historic cinema of Indian film industry.

It was Ramya Krishnan who finally went on to essay the valiant Sivagami and she garnered rave reviews from fans and critics. After watching ‘Baahubali 2’ it is hard to imagine anyone except Ramya in the role.

Rejecting Rajamouli’s offer, Sridevi acted in Tamil movie ‘Puli’ which also released in 2015 but proved to be a Box Office turkey.

‘Baahubali’ is on a record-breaking spree, within 10 days of its release, the blockbuster has minted Rs 1000 crore worldwide.
