Santhosh Narayanan confirmed as the music director of Rajinikanth’s next

The Rajinikanth-Ranjith project is picking up pace. Earlier, there were reports going around that Santhosh Narayanan has been signed as the music director.

The composer has now confirmed this through his Twitter account: “Humbled to be a part of Rajinikanth’s next with Pa Ranjith. Thank you Dhanush, Rajinikanth and Pa Ranjith for making me part of this prestigious film.”
Word has it that Vidya Balan, who was said to have been approached for the project earlier, could not be a part of the film due to date issues. The team is searching for another Bollywood actress to play the female lead. The shoot is, supposedly, all set to begin on May 28 in Chennai at a set that will resemble the Dharavi slums in Mumbai.
Apparently, Dhanush will also be playing a small role in the film, which is believed to belong to the gangster genre. The entire crew that worked with director Pa Ranjith in his earlier collaboration with Rajini, Kabali, is expected to be a part of this untitled project as well.
