Gulebagavali is a black comedy

Hansika Motwani’s next film in Tamil will be Gulebagavali and it will co-star the director of her first Tamil film (Engeyum Kadhal), Prabhudheva, in the lead role.

The film, that’s currently being shot, is bankrolled by KJR Studios, which also producing Nayanthara’s upcoming film, Aramm. Hansika took to Twitter yesterday to confirm the news and posted a photo of them next to a vintage car.

The tweet read, “My first Tamil movie’s director, my last movie’s producer and my current movie’s hero — Prabhudheva.” Director Kalyaan S, says,

“Gulebagavali is a black comedy. Apart from Prabhudheva and Hansika, we’ve also got Revathi, Mansoor Ali Khan, Rajendran, Sathyan, Anandraj, Munishkanth and Yogi Babu to name a few.

The shooting has begun and the first schedule is happening in Chennai. The last part of the film will also be shot in Bangkok. Anand Kumar is the cinematographer and Peter Hein will take care of the stunts. The film will have both period and contemporary portions.”

Apart from this new film, Hansika is also occupied with her Telugu and Malayalam projects.

Prabhudheva, meanwhile, is working on his directorial venture, Karuppu Raja Vellai Raja, and is also acting in Yung Mung Sung directed by MS Arjun.
