Varalaxmi Sarathkumar who apparently opted out of the Malayalam remake of Appa is now said to be acting alongside Mammootty. She will be seen in a police avatar in the film directed by Ajai Vasudev, who had earlier directed the star in Rajadhi Raja.
The film has Mammootty playing the role of a strict college professor with Varalaxmi donning the role of the IPS officer, Bhavani Durga.
Rumour has it that the movie will revolve around what happens when Varalaxmi interferes in a tussle that arises between two gangs in a college. The story is about how her interference affects her life, the troubles she consequently faces and how she overcomes them.
The script is penned by Udaykrishna, who also wrote the story of the 2016 Mohanl a l – s t a r rer Pulimurugan. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar currently has movies like Vikram Vedha, Nibunan, and Ammayi lined up in her kitty.
