Balaji Tharaneetharan, who has previously worked with Vijay Sethupathi in Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom, is again joining hands with the actor for a project in which the latter will be playing a drama artiste. Balaji tells CE, “It is titled Seethakathi, and will mark his 25th outing.
There’s a proverb called Seththum Koduthaan Seethakathi. When you watch the film, you’ll know why I named it so.” Balaji says he’s trying to “deliver something different every time, with many filmmakers experimenting.” The shooting will commence from April 24 in Chennai. “We’re planning to finish the entire film in the city.
I am excited beyond words as I share an emotional connection with Vijay Sethupathi. We don’t have any female lead characters in this film, but are in talks with a few for some cameos,” he adds. Passion Studios is producing this film. Balaji is keen to assure that the film will not be on the lines of Naduvula… “This is a different genre altogether. That’s all I can say for now,” he shares.
