S. P. Balasubrahmanyam loses bag containing passport, credit cards in the US

Singing maestro S. P. Balasubrahmanyam, who is currently in the United States, lost his bag containing important documents such as his passport, iPads with his song scripts, credit cards and cash. He posted on Facebook about the theft of his bag.

The singer is in the US for his SPB50 concert taking place across several states like Seattle, Los Angeles, San Jose, Dallas, Kansas, etc. The exact place of theft was not made clear in the post.

However, he added that the Consul General of the Indian Embassy in Houston took immediate action and he got a duplicate passport within 24 hours. 

He also took the opportunity to express his grief over the demise of legendary Hindustani singer Kishori Amonkar.

Continuing with his post, SP also informed his many fans that he was blessed with the prestigious Shri NT Ramarso’s National award and thanked the Andhra Pradesh government for bestowing upon him that honour. 

He also added that his mentor completed 60 years of music today. 

Concluding the post, he commented on how the journey of life is filled with several ups and downs, and that we all must strive to continue our journey regardless.
