Veteran actor Viju Khote, younger brother of veteran actress Shubha Khote, is no more. Viju Khote, who is best known for playing the role of ‘Kaalia’ in Amitabh Bachchan & Dharmendra’s cult film ‘Sholay’, reportedly passed away today (30th September) early morning at the age of 78. While the cause of his death is unknown, the actor breathed his last at his home in Mumbai.

The talented actor made his film debut with ‘Ya Malak’ in the year 1964 and went on to feature in various popular films like ‘Sholay’, ‘Andaz Apna Apna’, ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’, ‘Nagina’, ‘Qurbani’, ‘Karz’ among others. In his acting career, Viju Khote has over 300 Hindi as well as Marathi films to his credit.

Apart from films, Viju Khote has been a part of TV shows as well and best remembered for his role in ‘Zabaan Sambhalke’.
Viju Khote was last seen in 2018 film ‘Jaane Kyun De Yaaron’.
