Veteran actor Rishi Kapoorhas been undergoing medical treatment in New York for an unknown health condition. Last year, he had shared the news on his Twitter handle and added that he would be back in India soon. In April, his brother Randhir Kapoor had said Rishi will be back home in a few months, amid reports that he was now “cancer free”. The actor has had a huge pillar of support in wife Neetu Singh and now here comes good news for his fans. Rishi Kapoor will reportedly come back to India in August.
The veteran actor confirmed the same to a leading daily and said, “Yes, I am trying to return by August end, depending on what the doctors at the hospital say. I have recovered well and I am feeling good. Must be 100% fit by the time I am back.“

Rishi Kapoor is expected to return before his 67th birthday in September. The actor reportedly wants to celebrate his birthday with his family and close-friends in Mumbai.
Speaking about the same, a source told the daily that, “He is 100% cancer-free, and under the doctors’ observation for the time being. He is staying at a private apartment and enjoying life in the Big Apple. Being a cricket buff, he is also following the on-going cricket World Cup in England and keeps discussing the results of the matches with his friends in India.“
For now, the ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ actor has to visit hospital regularly for check-ups. “But there is nothing to worry about. He is now allowed to eat food of his choice and is exploring few of his favorite restaurants with well-wishers,” the source further told Mumbai Mirror.

The actor’s children Ranbir Kapoor and Riddhima keep visiting him from time to time. Over the last few months, several celebrities including Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, Vicky Kaushal, Deepika Padukone, Aamir Kha, Alia Bhatt, Anupam Kher, Priyanka Chopra, Sonali Bendre, Javed Akhtar, among others have paid a visit to the veteran actor.
On the work front, Rishi Kapoor last appeared in ‘Mulk’ and ‘Rajma Chawal’.
