Nagal  has one character, but many dimensions

M irnalini Ravi, known for her dubsmash videos on Tamil cinema dialogues and songs, is making her K’town debut with Nagal. A heroine-centric thriller, Suresh Kumar (former associate of Sasi and Suseenthiran) is directing the film.

The actor, who plays the role of an IT employee in Nagal, says it has only a single lead character, and the story revolves around her. Though she has been getting lots of offers, she’s clear about her priorities. She doesn’t want to take up glamorous roles. Mirnalini adds, “I am not interested in skin show.

I can never imagine myself that way. Those kinds of roles are beyond my comfort zone.” The 22-year-old will be seen travelling from Theni to Chennai in this film, and the events that occur during the travel will form the crux of the story.

“There are no other characters, and the director has crafted an engaging story,” she shares. Filmmaker Suresh tells us that working on such a script was challenging.

“I worked quite hard on this script, because it’s a different attempt. I believe my film will be different from the other thrillers because of the single character,” he smiles. Produced by Manikandan of Charismatic Creations, the crew will start shooting from February 20. Music director Antony George, cinematographer Prasanna, editor Lokesh and designer Joseph Jackson, are part of the technical team.
