The Accidental Prime Minister: Twitterati gives thumbs up to Anupam Kher’s film

New Delhi: ‘The Accident Prime Minister’, which has remained in controversy ever since the trailer was unveiled, has hit the silver screens today. The film starring Anupam Kher, Akshaye Khanna has been directed by Vijay Ratnakar Gutte and is based on the 2014 memoir of the same name by Sanjaya Baru. Veteran actor Anupam Kher, who has played the role of former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, has received praises from critics and fans for his brilliant performance in the film.

‘The Accident Prime Minister’ has been at the centre of political controversies ever since the trailer was unveiled by the makers but the film has managed to get a thumbs from a Twitterati. Check out some of the tweets!

Anupam Kher, before the release of the film, shared a video on social media, calling it the most difficult role of his career.

The trailer of the film drew flak from the Congress party and a petition was filed in court by a Delhi-based fashion designer, demanding a ban on the film’s trailer. The Delhi High Court had dismissed the PIL seeking a ban on the trailer of the movie.
