‘Kedarnath’ has taken a healthy start but it failed to beat the first day collections of Janhvi Kapoor & Ishaan Khatter’s ‘Dhadak’ which collected Rs 8.50 on its opening day.

The film, produced by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP and Abhishek Kapoor’s Guy In the Sky Pictures, tells the love story of a ‘pithoo’ and a pilgrim amidst the wrath of nature as the holy place drowns in flood. However, love rises above all.

It is set in the backdrop of the flash floods that wrecked the temple town in June 2013.
