During a media meet that was organised in the city recently, Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green said Suriya had the second biggest market after Rajinikanth. 
Announcing that Si-3 will release worldwide on February 9, he added, “After Superstar, Suriya is the next actor who has the biggest market as far as collection is concerned.
He has a huge fan base in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. We’re confident that the Singam franchise will fetch gold at the box-office.”
The producer also aplogised to fans for the delay in releasing the film. “Chennai witnessed many things in the past two months including the demise of former Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, Vardah cyclone, demonetisation effects and the jallikattu protests.
We’re glad that we’re releasing Si-3 next month. Personally, February has been lucky as Paruthiveeran (2007) was released in the same month.” Suriya concluded the meet saying his mother liked Si-3 better than the earlier ones.
