Nivin Pauly

Nivin Pauly’s upcoming Tamil film starring Shraddha Srinath and Natraj Subramaniam, directed by lawyer-turned-debutante director Gautham Ramachandran, has been titled Richie. The lawyer-turned-filmmaker informs CE, “After Neram (2013), Nivin didn’t do any Tamil project. Glad that he chose me to direct him. In this film, he plays a Thoothukudi-based thug Richard. We thought this name would be appropriate for it.” Calling Nivin an amazing actor, Gautham says, “He knows what he wants and has an eye for details. This film will be a never-before-seen experience to the audience.” The team has been working on the final touches.Prakash Raj plays a pastor (Nivin’s father), and Lakshmi Priyaa Chandramouli as a small-town fisherwoman. Ashok Selvan will be seen in an extended cameo, besides Vishal’s father GK Reddy in an important role. The makers are looking forward to releasing the film in a month or two.
