Addressing the Vibrant Gujarat Summit, Tata Group chairman Ratan Tata on Tuesday said that Gujarat has become the most progressive state under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision executed for the all-round development. “PM Modi has made Gujarat a manufacturing hub. It has become one of the leading state, which ushers in the new India,” said the salt-to-software conglomerate Ratan Tata.
“The Vibrant Gujarat Summit is a manifestation of the unparalleled vision of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and on Tuesday we see the Vibrant Gujarat Summit having been transformed into a global industrial summit attracting the top business and political leaders from all over the world,” said Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani.
The Adani Group chairman also highlighted that the group will invest Rs. 490 billion in Gujarat over the next five years. He asserted that while Adani Wilmar will be doubling its manufacturing capacity in the state, Adani port will invest Rs. 167 billion to expand ports in Gujarat. Adding to this he further stated that the group?s investment in solar and wind will exceed Rs. 23,000 crore by 2021. The Adani Group will also be building a 10 million tonne cement plant in the state.
