Groundnut oil prices dropped further at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today on lower demand from stockists and retailers.
Refined palmolein also edged down owing to poor offtake from retailers.
Elsewhere, castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial weakened further following reduced demand from soap and shippers industries.
While, linseed oil ruled steady in absence of any large-scale buying.
In the edible segment, groundnut oil declined by Rs 10 per 10kg to Rs 1,000 from Monday’s close Rs 1,010 and refined palmolein softened by Rs 2 per 10kg to Rs 622 as against Rs 624 yesterday.
Moving to non-edible segment, castorseeds bold slipped by Rs 25 per 100kg to Rs 3,975 as compared Rs 4,000 yesterday and castoroil commercial also moved down by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 825 from Rs 830.
Linseed oil closed unchanged at Rs 900 per 10 kg.
