The stock market has gathered a lot of steam now, with the Sensex rising over 400 points, while the Nifty has hit 10,800 after several sessions.
Strength is visible in the midcaps space, with the Nifty Midcap index gaining over 1 per cent. The BSE Sensex was up by 415 points at 35594. Nifty was up by 124 points at 10,809 a shortwhile ago.
The rupee weakened by 12 paise to 67 rupees 3 paise against the US dollar in the afternoon trade today.
