Need assistance with digital payments? Govt launches new helpline

The government has launched a new helpline for the public to seek assistance. The helpline ‘14444’ will help out customers and potential users by answering their queries.

According to NDTV, the helpline has been launched by Nasscomm and NITI Aayog.

The government also launched an e-awareness campaign on Tuesday to help spread awareness about online and digital payments by the people.

The government delegalised the use of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes, replacing it with new Rs 500 and Rs 2000 notes. In a move that sucked out Rs 14 lakh crore mobile wallets and online modes of payments rose to prominance. One of the diktats of demonetization was to promote a cashless economy. E-wallets like Paytm, Mobikwik, and others, have capitalised on the government move and seen a massive surge in the rise of their monthly figures.
