Retail inflation stood at 3(point)28 per cent in September this year, unchanged from August.
Retail inflation had stood at 4.39 per cent in September last year.
According to Central Statistics Office data, overall food inflation moderated to 1.25 per cent in September.
Retail inflation in vegetables softened to 3.92 percent. Pulses and products saw deflation, or a fall in prices of 22.51 per cent during the month under review.
