The benchmark, BSE Sensex surged 138 points in late morning trade today. It was trading at 31,972 a short while ago. The NSE, Nifty also gained 46 points at 10,031. Earlier, the benchmark Sensex rose by 112 points to 31,946 in early trade today.
At the forex market, the rupee traded at 65.15 against the dollar. Yesterday, the rupee had closed higher by 14 paise at 65.14 against the dollar.
