Indian Flag DISRESPECTED: Sushma Swaraj demands apology from Amazon, threatens to revoke visa

Disrespecting and offending the sentiment of every Indian, global e-commerce company Amazon has landed itself in trouble by selling doormats which have the Indian flag on it.

A country’s flag is a symbol of the nation’s beliefs. It represents and unites its citizens regardless of their strata or religion. By selling such products, Amazon has garnered a lot of criticism and abhorrence from Indians all across.

Reprimanding the company, Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj has demanded an apology and warned the government will not grant visa to any Amazon official and also revoke visas issued earlier.

Swaraj stated, “Amazon must tender unconditional apology. They must withdraw all products insulting our national flag immediately.” She added, “If this is not done forthwith, we will not grant Indian Visa to any Amazon official. We’ll also rescind the Visas issued earlier.”
